Here we are again, another workout for the week. Its been decent weather recently (a bit nippy at times). Hot enough to burn calories just standing there on certain days. So we are going to bring continuance of the burn with this workout – a core burn! This is a time trial workout. The faster, the better – so time yourself and be a proud record holder.
Stop Watches ready…….
Round 1
- Mountain Climbers – 30 seconds
- Crunches – 15 reps
- Mountain Climbers – 30 seconds
- Leg raises – 15 reps
You can rest for 30 seconds, or get cracking with the next round!
Round 2
- Mountain Climbers – 35 seconds
- Russian Twists – 20 reps
- Mountain Climbers – 35 seconds
- Ankle reaches – 20 reps
Again, here’s an opportunity to rest…
Round 3
- Spider-man Plank/ Gecko Plank – 40 seconds
- Full body Crunch – 10 reps
- Spider-man Plank/ Gecko Plank – 40 seconds
- Full Body Crunch – 10 reps
This should take no longer than 30 minutes even if you include a 10 minute warm up and 5 minute cool down. Meaning you have 15 minutes to do these exercises. Anything less than 12 minutes for the core workout is a brilliant time.
*Tip: Its all about the speed of your repetitions so you can start the next exercise (timed on seconds) as quickly as possible.
