Now is the perfect time to be exercising outdoors. The sun is out, it’s nice and warm, and everyone is wearing sunglasses so you don’t need to worry about your white legs!
In Leeds we are lucky enough to have easy access to the canal and a large number of parks that we can use to go to for walks, runs, or even try this outdoor HIIT workout! It’s awesome for fat burning and a great cardio workout!
Whilst this is a non-equipment based workout, here at Motive8 North, we like to use what is around us, so if you can find an area which has steps or hills that would make it even better.
Warm up first! Walk or go for a gentle jog. Then brace yourself and then complete 3 rounds of the following. Push yourself to go as fast as possible each time and don’t rest until you get to the end of the round!
- Stairs, Hill or Flat Sprint – 30 seconds or to the top of the steps/hill or to failure on your flat sprint
- 10 Lunges each leg (because your legs will love this after a sprint)
- 10 Star Jumps
- 10 Squats
- 10 Press Ups
- 10 Squat Thrusts
- 10 Crunches
- 10 Burpees (because everyone LOVES burpees)
We hope you enjoy this outdoor HIIT workout! Make sure your take water with you, and why not get a group of friends together to complete this as you can push each other!
