Drum roll please……..March Member of the Month goes to……Nicole Booth!
Nicole is a regular gym member at motive8 and also has a monthly personal training session to keep her focused through a new programme and has a full body composition assessment to make sure she is on track to achieving her goals. We love her dedication, even if she is having a busy day at work she will always prioritise her workouts, and the thing we love about Nicole the most……her lovely beaming, friendly smile whenever she walks through the door! You may also recognise Nicole as one of our models on the website!
Take a read about Nicole’s journey of training with motive8 and why she enjoys working out so much!
How long have you trained at motive8 for?
I’ve been a member and trained at Motive8 for just over 3 years now (where has time gone)!?
2. What were your goals when you joined? Have they changed? What are they now?
When I first joined my goals were all running related and through Jenny’s help and guidance I successfully completed the Leeds Half Marathon 2 years on the bounce however, as a result of a knee problem, over the last year my goals have had to change and are now more focused on strength & conditioning.
3. As well as being a gym member do you use any of the other services offered by motive8? Why?
Since joining I’ve done a personal training session with Jenny once a month to ensure I remain focused on my goals and to have someone to keep pushing me during periods where my motivation may dwindle.
When I was running more regularly Ieuan was also incredibly helpful whenever I saw him for either physio or a routine sports massage (not a relaxing experience, but highly recommended)!!
4. Why do you enjoy working out at motive8?
The ‘family’ feel Motive8 has is much more inviting than some of the large corporate gym’s I’ve been to previously. I like the fact that in comparison to most it’s a small gym where every face is a familiar one.
5. What is your favorite exercise? Anything you don’t like doing?
My favorite exercise, hmm this is a tricky one.. I’m going to go with Medicine Ball Slam’s as it’s the best stress reliever after a busy day in the office! (We’re with you on that Nicole!)
My least favorite is Burpees. No more needs to be said there!!
6. What keeps you motivated for working out?
The desire to stay fit & healthy and I also find exercise, no matter for how long or intense is the way I best ‘switch off’.
7. What do you use to motivate yourself on the days you can’t be bothered going to the gym?
I always know that after I’ve been to the gym I’m guaranteed to feel better for going & wont regret the decision to go, even if I have had to drag myself there!
Well done Nicole, a thoroughly deserved Member of the Month!
