On Sunday 17th July 2016, the Leeds Sky Ride returns to Millenium Square. It is a free mass participation bike ride that attracted more than 8,000 people of all ages last year. The route is 6.5km and starts on the same point of the Headrow as the Tour De France, Grand Depart.
The route, which is lined with spectators, passes a number of iconic city landmarks such as Leeds University, Civil Hall and Town Hall. The Leeds Sky Ride is one of 15 held in partnership with Sky and British Cycling to help encourage more people to take up cycling. The popular sprint strip on the Headrow is returning so you can challenge your friends and family to a sprint! Or if stunts are more your thing then watch the mountain bike stunts. A hub will be set up at Millennium Square to offer out more information about biking in Leeds.
The Leeds Sky Ride is free and anyone who enters will receive a Free Halfords bike check. So get your bike in tune and get biking with friends and family!
