Kind Words From A Client

A Day In The Life of a PT

Posted on May 09, 2014 by Jenny Cromack

I’ve been off-site quite a lot this week as I’ve been working with some other Leisure Clubs we manage on behalf of another company.

When I have been at our personal training studios I have taken some time to sit back and appreciate everything going around me….the team of personal trainers encouraging people to achieve their goals, gym and class members working hard. The reason for this were some kind words from a client last weekend.

I was training this client last Saturday, my client has been with me since the days I was a one-man band operating as Jenny Cromack Personal Training. Oh, how creative I was when I thought of that name! It does mean that I still have to use my maiden name at work too which often gets a little confusing! But anyway, I digress…..So, this client has seen my business grow and the team of personal trainers blossom and develop into the amazing team they are today. She commented on how one Tuesday evening when she was doing bootcamp I walked into the studio and a big smile spread across my face as I looked at everyone in the gym working hard! She then went on to say what a nice workout environment we have created  and how it’s nice to see that everyone who comes to the gym whether they are a personal training client or a gym or class member has one united purpose….to work hard and achieve their goals! No ‘fanny-ing’ around, just people who want to put some effort into their workouts. She then went on to say how great the personal training team are – always encouraging their clients to work hard and how well they motivate people without sounding like they are nagging (she must be my only client who doesn’t think I nag!).

Comments like this make my job so worthwhile and make me realise what we have achieved so far as a team. When we wrote our company mission statement one of our targets was to create a ‘community’ feel in the gym and to encourage the people of Leeds to improve their health and fitness and this is something I believe we do! I have said this before, and it won’t be the last time I say it, but we couldn’t achieve what we do as a business without such a great team of personal trainers behind us.

I realise that I fly around here, there and everywhere at 100 miles per hour most days that sometimes I don’t take time to sit back and enjoy what we have achieved so this comment from my client made me realise I should do this more. So, from now on I’m going to sit back and enjoy the ride a little bit…..well maybe for a 2 minutes then back on it ;o)

We hope everyone feels the way my client does, but if anyone has any feedback then let me know.
