If you fancy adding a little twist to a circuit training workout then try this Deck of Cards Circuit Training Workout…
How It Works….
1. The numbers on the cards correspond to how many reps you perform of each exercise. Jack = 11 reps, Queen = 12 reps, King = 13 reps and Ace = 14 reps.
2. Give each suit an exercise – I like using a mixture of strength and cardio exercises, so you could use
Hearts – Star Jumps
Clubs – Squat and Press
Diamonds – Press Ups
Spades – Lunges
Mix it up a bit and don’t shy away from putting some tough exercises in there!
2. Deal yourself 8 cards – perform the number of reps of each exercise on the card. So for example…
10 Hearts = 10 Star Jumps
Ace Spades = 14 Lunges
2 Hearts = 2 Star Jumps
9 Clubs = 9 Squat & Presses
3 Diamonds = 3 Press Ups
King Clubs = 13 Squat & Press
2 spades = 2 Lunges
8 Hearts = 8 Star Jumps
3. Give yourself 15 seconds rest between each exercise and perform 3 rounds of the circuit.
4. You can choose as many cards as you like to draw and as many circuits as you like too. So you may draw 10 cards but only do 2 circuits, you may draw only 3 cards but do 4 circuits, drawn another 3 cards, do 4 circuits of this, etc. The world is your oyster!
This deck of cards circuit training workout is great to use on the days you can’t be bothered having a workout as it adds a bit of fun and variety to your training. So get your trainers on, grab a deck of cards and get cracking with this deck of cards circuit training workout.
