There’s nothing better than a bit of friendly competition – especially when it comes to exercise! Here’s a great fat burning workout for you to do with your friend(s) or partner and it’s all body weight so there are really no excuses!
This is HIIT at its best. This is a challenging full body work out so having people to compete against or push you is a great benefit!! You need a stop watch or something with a timer that you can hear … you honestly don’t want to be doing more than the allotted time!!
There are 3 exercises in each round, each round lasts 3 minutes and there are 3 rounds in total. You perform each exercise for the specified number of reps as many times as possible in 3 minutes. You need to keep count of how many times you have completed the exercises! Once you have completed all three rounds you start again. The idea is to meet or beat your previous scores.
Here’s a clue….the people I have tried this workout on (I’ve got to test that it’s hard enough before posting it!) only managed 6 sets for one of the blocks and 4 or 5 for the others!
Remember to perform a thorough warm up before you start and when you’re done finish with a good cool down.
BLOCK 1
- 10x Star Jumps
- 10x Burpees
- 10x Press Ups
BLOCK 2
- 20x Ab Cycles (20 in total so 10 each leg)
- 10x Toe Touches
- 20x Mountain Climbers (20 in total so 10 each leg)
BLOCK 3
- 10x High Knees
- 10x Squats
- 10x Lunges
