Bank Holiday Work Out

I bought some lovely new running trainers at the weekend in the hope that they would return me to my pre-back pain 55 minute 10k pace. But then the rain put me off testing them out! So instead I came up with a short but effective Bank Holiday Work Out that I could do in the home. It doesn’t need a lot of space and I only needed a skipping rope and a dumbbell or kettlebell.

It’s an Add On Circuit – one of my favourite kinds! I’ve also made it Lower Body, Upper Body and Cardio – nice! Essentially you complete Exercise 1 for 30 seconds, rest for 30, then complete exercise 1 and 2, rest for 30 seconds, complete exercise 1, 2 & 3 then rest etc etc. If you have time you can then complete it in reverse starting with exercise 6, exercise 6 & 5 and so on – EPIC!! Enjoy!

Exercise 1 – Squats
Exercise 2 – Single Handed Clean & Press
Exercise 3 – Skipping
Exercise 4 – Lunges
Exercise 5 – Halo (or tricep extensions)
Exercise 6 – Skipping
