Don’t be embarrassed if you’re wondering what AMRAP Workouts are. “As Many Rounds/Reps As Possible” isn’t a new concept for a workout, but has increased in popularity in recent years with the onset of Cross Fit and the rise of another popular acronym WOD (or Workout Of The Day to you and me!). The great thing about this type of workout is that the emphasis is on pushing yourself to complete as many of the exercise as possible – AMRAP Workouts are awesome motivators!

Ideally if you’re using kit for these types of workouts, you need to be able to quickly move from one exercise to another, so don’t mix kit. Stick with one thing : dumbbells, barbells, body weight, medicine ball and so on.

I’ve gone back to my roots and my favourite piece of kit, the Kettlebell. How heavy you go depends on how hard a work out you want!

Each round is 4 minutes long. There are 3 exercises with a given amount of reps for each. You must complete all 3 exercises with the prescribed number of repetitions for as many rounds as possible in 4 minutes. Have fun!

Round 1
20 Swings
10 Squats
5 Pressups

Round 2
20 Lunges
10 High Pulls
5 Round the Body

Round 3
20 Squat & Upright Row
10 Clean & Press
5 Toe Crunches

We hope you enjoy these AMRAP workouts! Let us know how you get on!
