The Aire Valley Towpath is a 17 mile Canal towpath running from Leeds to Bingley.
The path runs along one of the longest canals in the country and features incredible scenery, galleries, shops and museums. The path is on the National Cycle Network route 66 and 69 and is an ideal location to get out and about on your bike or out for a run or walk.
You can access the tow path at Leeds, Shipley and Bingley train station so you can always hop on the train to get back if 17 miles is your maximum. The path offers a smooth gradual gradient so it is ideal for small children, prams and wheel chair users. The route takes you from Leeds and out past Kirkstall Abbey, Rodley and to Bingley via the Locks which are in fact 18th century engineering.
