This weekend was a scorcher and after doing a lot of work on my garden a BBQ just made sense. I actually had a BBQ Saturday night, Sunday lunch and Sunday dinner!
BBQ food can be easy, tasty and most importantly healthy.BBQ’s get a bit of a bad press but if you don’t the unhealthy dips, crisps, beers, etc then you certainly can’t go wrong with a bit of lean meat and salad.
It’s always a good idea to mix up your meats and get some variety in there. One of my favourite meats that I don’t have often is lamb so yesterday I did some lamb chops on the BBQ, so here is a recipe for my BBQ Lamb Chops with Crunchy Salad Recipe for you to recreate and enjoy!
Ingredients
Lean butchers lamb chops
Mixed herbs
Garlic
Pepper
Little virgin olive oil
Method
Dust the chops with the garlic pepper and mixed herbs and tiny little bit of oil. Cook both sides for about 8 mins depending on the heat of your BBQ!
To accompany the lamb chops I made a really simple salad
Ingredients
2 x raw carrot – grated
2 x celery sticks – chopped
1 a red pepper – sliced
handful of sultanas
A few chunks of feta
10 x tomatoes – halved
Method
Mix together in a bowl!
In weather like this its easy to enjoy a nice refreshing salad so get creative!
We hope you enjoy this BBQ lamb chops with crunchy salad recipe.
