The Abbey Dash is fast approaching. Whilst the 16th of November may seem like a long way away, if you start training at the start of September you only have 10 weeks to get ready for the race! Following the success of our last Motive8 Running Club, we’re starting another one on Thursday the 11th September at 6:15pm at our Fitness Studio at Saxton (a 10 min walk from Marshalls Court).
The lovely Helen Hawkins will put you through your paces from 615-7pm each Thursday evening, with each session targeting a different aspect of a runners training, whilst catering for all levels of running ability. Whether you’re running the Abbey Dash or not, these session will ensure you get fit and get closer to those personal bests!
We are running the club as a 10 week block for £45. However, we understand that you may not be able to make every session, and for this reason, we are also offering a pay as you go option of £5.00 per session. If you are already a member of our Saxton Class Studio, there is no additional charge for these sessions.
Each session will contain an element of running i.e. different intervals, and then focus on a specific training type. To give you an idea of what are sessions are going to cover, please see the below:
Week 1 – Sprint Intervals & Core
Week 2 – Tempo Runs & Leg Strength
Week 3 – Hill Sprints & Upper Body
Week 4 – Plyometric & Flexibility
Week 5 – Fartlek Training & Full Body Conditioning
Week 6 – Plyometric & Flexibility
Week 7 – Hill Sprints & Upper Body
Week 8 – Tempo Runs & Leg Strength
Week 9 – Sprint Intervals & Core
Week 10 – Fartlek Training & Full Body Conditioning
