Having a workout outside is always a fantastic option so here is a beach workout! Yes, ideally it would be fantastic to do this abroad so if anyone is lucky enough to be getting a holiday enjoy! However don’t underestimate how great beach workouts are in the UK, even if they may be a little more chilly, views are always worth it!
As well as the benefits of the fresh air and views , working out in sand offers fantastic resistance and makes the whole body work as you stabilise
Here are some top tips you need to follow before starting your workout:
- If you can go bare foot its a great workout for your ankles however if you have a history of weak ankles wear trainers.
- Check over the area you are using for any sharp or large items that have been washed up.
- Don’t forget your water bottle and keep hydrated
- Wear sun cream … burning isn’t fun!
- Use both wet and dry sand for varying resistance, running in wet sand really gets the legs burning!
Beach Workout
- 20 metre sprint shuttles x 2
- Press ups x 10
- Burpees x 10
- Squats x 10
- Mountain climbers x 10
- Double footed bound jumps x 10

Complete these exercises as many times in:
