The Motive8 North Personal Training Team Achieve A Milestone!
A Day In The Life of a PT

Wow, I know I often talk about how busy we are but July saw a new milestone achieved for the motive8 North personal training team in Leeds…..we delivered over 300 personal training sessions in July. Wow!! Our highest number to date was 297…..so to hit the 300 mark is a fantastic achievement and speaks volumes about the amazing team of personal trainers we have working here!
I cannot thank the motive8 north personal trainers enough for their hard work and dedication to helping their clients achieve their goals. Likewise, I cannot thank our amazing personal training clients, class members and gym members for being loyal customers.
We opened the first motive8 north personal training studio in Leeds in July 2011, back in those days there was only myself and a young Chris Baird working at the studio (he was so young and naïve then…..how times have changed!) Between us both we delivered around 100 sessions per month.
Overtime Chris’ reputation grew and the word about how amazing a personal trainer he is spread. From the time in July 2011 when Chris delivered around 20-30 sessions a month, 3 years later Chris is now delivering over 100 sessions per month, so in essence the same number of personal training sessions in a week as he used to deliver in a month. Over this time I have seen Chris grow and grow as a personal trainer and he has also helped me develop as a personal trainer. Chris’ knowledge is immense and he has the right amount of banter and rapport to make his sessions enjoyable. (Although his jokes are pretty terrible!)
Kate joined us in March 2012, Kate covered one of our classes and when I saw how much fun the people in her class were having and her passion for fitness I wanted Kate to come and work at motive8 North.
As Kate has a background in group exercise and still teaches classes it was a natural progression for her to become our studio manager when we opened our second studio at Saxton. Our Saxton studio focuses on group exercise classes and personal training and Kate and the rest of the motive8 team deliver an amazing class timetable at Saxton. In addition to leading a zillion classes per week Kate also performs 50 or so personal training sessions per week….good job she is like a Duracell bunny!
The following year Kate, Chris and I were getting busier and busier and so the time came to recruit another personal trainer…..welcome Lucy Harrison! Lucy has been a great addition to the motive8 team and in the past year she has flourished and grown and this is seen in the training sessions she performs with her clients. This month Lucy has achieved her highest number of personal training sessions delivered ……a total of 73 , which to say when she first started she was only doing a handful each week is amazing!
As you can probably tell I’m immensely proud of my team and all of our clients…whether personal training, class or gym members! But shhhhh don’t tell anyone it will ruin my ‘hard woman’ image!
