Now a lot of people ask me about supplements and I’m normally quite inclined to alter peoples nutrition before advising them to go on some supplements, however there are a few supplements I recommend everyone takes. The first and most important in my opinion is fish oil. It’s easy to say take a supplement, but you also need to know how much, so how much fish oil should you have to reap the benefits?

If you take up to 2g of fish oil per day you should benefit for the following reasons. You could of course, get this 2g naturally through you food you eat or by taking a supplement.

  • Fish Oil Can Help You Lose Fat – To start with fish oil is packed with omega-3 fatty acids, this fat doesn’t turn into fat into your body, its used by the cells of your body to rebuild their walls amongst a host of other things. Having these cells lipid layers built from omega-3 opposed to omega-6 and other fats improves insulin sensitivity which in turn helps you loosed fat. Studies have even shown that individuals can loose fat without exercising using fish oil capsuals, imagine what you can achieve with exercise as well!

  • Fish Oil Will Help Out With Those Gainzzz- Numerous studies have now shown that fish oil will help enhance protein synthesis, and in turn have shown increases of cross sectional size of muscles. For the exact same reasons as with fat loss the greater insulin sensitivity created by consuming fish oil helps create an anabolic environment for the body to build muscle.

When we look at the health benefits internally the argument for fish oil supplements becomes even stronger, research has shown that 2g of fish oil can:

Simply take 2g of fish oil per day to reap the rewards!
