Right! I’m back with another one. To hit the heart and core, and to answer the most frequently asked question from people who want to lose their “belly”… Question – How do I see my abs? Answer – Exercise your heart and lungs to burn body fat by using cv machines or HIIT exercises. Any exercise or sport that raises your BPM for a period of time burns body fat! Combine this with some strengthening exercises for your core muscles to help build and define them.
No matter how big your abdominals are, you will not show and protrude the belly fat if there is too much to get through. It’s as simple as that!
So… You might hate me during your workout but you’ll love me after a few weeks. The journey is just as important as the destination, so I can’t wait to travel with you through the hate towards the love. And if it helps the workout is short and sweet.
Now! Let’s warm up! Don’t worry if you feel you’re not warm enough, this workout is meant to make you sweat profusely anyway. You’ll be begging for the cool down.
*I have one request – I want a lot of concentration on your breathing throughout this workout. Visualise your rest period as a chance for oxygen, as if you have just swam a full length swimming pool under water.
Round 1
- Mountain Climbers – 45 seconds
- Crunches – 15-20 reps
- Oblique Smash – 30 seconds
Rest for 30 seconds & repeat the above sequence 3 times.
Round 2
- Squat Thrust – 30 seconds
- Leg ups – 15-20 reps
- Ankle reaches – 45 seconds
Rest for 30 seconds & repeat the above sequence 3 times.
Round 3
- Burpees – 30 seconds
- High knee crunches – 45 seconds
- Gecko Plank – 45 seconds
And there we have it! Real quick, real simple and really efficient.
P.S. If you finish this workout with
no sweat, I’d like you to go through the whole workout again. This time not repeating
the groups of 3 exercises 3 times, but going through from top to bottom in one
set 😉.
