If you have been inspired by the recent triathlon events on the TV and in Leeds itself and are debating giving it a go then Leeds City Council have the answer for you. They have set up a programme TRI SOMETHING NEW partnered with Sports England to offer opportunities to try multi sports.
The TRI SOMETHING NEW gives you the opportunity to take on the triathlon and see if it’s for you. On Thursday 11th and Thursday 25th August you will have the opportunity to take part in a mini triathlon swimming 100m in a pool, cycling 2.5km finishing off with a 1km run around the local area. To take part you need no triathlon experience and its open to all abilities so there is no excuse.
The event is located at Fearnville Leisure Centre in West Yorkshire with event registration from 6:00pm till 6:30pm. The event kick off time is 6:45pm
It is a great opportunity to get a session in on a Thursday evening and try something new. You don’t need all the gear as it specifies that you will be fine with a swimming costume or trunks and a mountain bike if you don’t have a road bike. It’s about rocking up and getting stuck in. If you give it a go and get the bug then get in touch with one of the motive8 gang and we will be happy to help to get you on track to tackling more triathlons.
