This Outdoor Body Blast Workout is ideal for taking your training and fitting it in anywhere, anytime. All you require is your body weight and a bit of open space.
This workout is perfect for raising your heart rate, turning on your sweat tap and giving your metabolism the kick start it needs for the Summer! Invite some of your friends or family to get involved and give each other some motivation.
The outdoor body blast workout is split into 2 separate parts – exercise A and exercise B. You perform exercise A for stated sets/reps and then do all of the exercise B’s straight away before resting and repeating.
Exercise A – 5 Squat Jumps, 20m Sprint, turn and walking lunge back to the start
Exercise B – Burpee Press Up, Full Rotating Side Planks, Spidermen
30 secs Rest
The way the reps work are as follows….Start with 1 set of exercise A then go straight into 4 reps each of exercise B; so 4 burpee press ups, 4 rotating side planks (2 each side), then 4 spidermen (2 each leg). Then rest for 30 secs and repeat, BUT the reps increase as follows:
Exercise A – 1/2/3/4/5/6
Exercise B – 4/6/8/10/12
If you are feeling brave and want to extend the workout you can always then work your way back to the lower rep range in a pyramid fashion. Go on, challenge yourself! This outdoor body blast workout will give you an intense workout in a short space of time. It’s also very versatile as you can do this at home, in the park, or on the beach. It means it is perfect to fit in if you commute a lot with work or are going on holiday and still want to stay in shape.
